CEREC

PROCEDURE WITH A LONG TRADITION

The CEREC system was developed at the University of Zurich in 1985 and since then has been continuously developed and successfully implemented in dental practices.

Globally there are more than 25,000 practices in over 50 countries where the CEREC system is implemented.

Since 1985 more than 8 million patients have been treated with the CEREC system and more than 20 million ceramic restorations have been made.

Long-term clinical studies have demonstrated the durability of CEREC restorations with a 95% rate at 10 years after application.

The CEREC system has been proven to restore up to 98% of the qualities of the natural healthy tooth.

STEP-BY-STEP CEREC PROCEDURE:

1) Before starting treatment you will be informed about the benefits of CEREC.
2) After removal of decayed tissue or old fillings, a 3D model of the tooth will be created using the special CEREC OMNI CAM camera.
3) The restoration will be projected before your eyes in a few minutes on the system monitor.
4) The CEREC milling machine will make the designed piece from a special ceramic block.
5) The piece will be fixed to the prepared tooth with special resins.

TREATMENT WITH THE CEREC SYSTEM

PRESUPPOSE:

| Without the classic dental impressions:

The OMNI CAM camera allows you to scan the prepared tooth in just a few minutes and create a virtual three-dimensional (3D) model. This eliminates the unpleasant classic impressions.

| Temporary dental work:

CEREC restorations are milled from special ceramic blocks in just a few minutes. The restorations are ready to be applied to the prepared tooth. This eliminates the need for temporary fillings or crowns.

| No long waiting periods:

Since CEREC restorations are fixed to your teeth immediately, it only takes one session and you will enjoy the benefits of an aesthetic restoration that has proven its durability over time.
